Business is the driving force behind the world as we know it today. We can essentially buy anything, from various materials, products, and semi-finished goods to services, information, and advertising… Furthermore, business can be local, national, or even international. We can even trade in anything from anywhere via the internet with anyone in another part of the world. We do not yet have sufficient knowledge or technical equipment for trading beyond our planet.
We cannot yet trade with extraterrestrials. But I think even that is just a matter of time.
Trading takes place at various levels: local, national, and international; wholesale and retail; individual and bulk. The subjects of exchange include both tangible and intangible items, as well as information and goods. The variety is endless. It depends on what each person needs; the market can satisfy almost every need you can think of. Thanks to technological progress, you can even trade securities and commodities on the stock exchange. Today,
both trading and business dealings are often governed by various rules that apply not only to the trading process itself but also to dress code, behavior, and footwear. This style is often defined by a combination of black and white, with formal suits for both women and men. Even accessories and the trading environment must have a certain look to ensure they are understated and do not disrupt the trading process with their liveliness. Meetings take place in restaurants, cafes, and corporate conference rooms and offices. The temperature must also be comfortable; no one wants to overheat during a business meeting, nor do they want to freeze or face strong winds and rain on the street. No one wants to be disturbed during a business meeting by street noise, the noise of the production area of the company, or similar disturbances.
Business can be planned in advance in a business plan, which outlines what we intend to trade, where and how, what profits and costs we expect, and whether we plan to expand our business activities within a single country or across multiple countries. How do we intend to handle the profit, what taxes are we required to pay to the government, how and where do we want to promote our business, how much do we plan to invest in promotion, and how much in expanding our business operations.
